Hi, my name is Rachel Smith, am 53 years old and I am the proud owner of Beauty and Beyond. I launched the business over 25 years ago, after leaving my job as a full-time Personal Assistant in London, to concentrate on beauty and holistic therapy. I originally trained at Barnfield College under ITEC and have continued to increase my qualifications and further my knowledge, particularly as the industry is changing and moving so quickly.
My ​​treatment room is situated in my home in Chiswell Green, St Albans with free parking available at all times (no restrictions apply).

At the salon I offer a personal yet professional service in a dedicated relaxing environment. I have a heated bed for those chilly days and your treatment time starts when you are on the couch so if you book one hour, that is the time you will receive. My number one goal is for you to enjoy your experience in my salon and for you to leave feeling completely refreshed and happy.

Booking is easy: online, phone, WhatsApp, email, or text. Please call or whats app for book on the day appointments.
Flexible hours: Mon–Thu 9am–9pm, Fri–Sat 9am–5pm
Payment can be made by cash, card or bacs.

I offer an extensive range of treatments including Dermalogica prescriptive facials, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, manual lymphatic drainage massage, post op lymphatic drainage massage, pregnancy massage, wood therapy, reflexology, waxing and lash/brow tinting. I also offer a wide selection of treatment packages.

I am very passionate about skincare, particularly as it is growing faster than any other part of the beauty industry. I have accumulated a large amount of experience with skincare and the wide range of products available. I offer a free consultation, always focusing on the integrity of your treatment and results. I do not sell any skincare products, so all advice given is unbiased.

My products are Vegan and not tested on animals. I have joined the Green Salon Scheme which shows that I am taking positive steps to keeping the environment safe for future generations.

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and The Guild of Beauty. I have an enhanced DBS certificate which allows me to work with special needs and elderly people. ​
​
I love my work and pride myself on carrying out beauty treatments to the highest of standards and am committed to meeting all of my customers' needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.
All male clients must be booked by a female.
